Pro Drums

Ayotte Drums strive to manufacture the finest hand made drums in the world. Their commitment is to continually improve the sound and appearance of their instruments supported by their 25 year warranty.

These standards are maintained by restricting manufacturing volumes allowing for individual crafting of each instrument.

Pro Shells

Ayotte Pro Shells feature 6ply North American Sugar Maple shells for all toms and bass drums except 8" & 10" toms which are 5ply.

All shells are fitted with Sound Rings, which are individually hand cut, sized, and fastened to the top and bottom of every drum. The rings not only amplify the structural integrity of the shell, but they also enhance the resonance quality of the instrument. Increased thickness at the top and bottom promotes high-end tonalities while the thinness of the shell reverberates low-end timbre. This construction protocol results in a drum capable of a broad range of tonalities and sonic dynamics

Pro Snare Drums

Ayotte Pro snares can be outfitted with either wood or steel hoops. All Pro snares are constructed from a 10ply, 14"x6" shell. This is the most versatile snare drum configuration as it has a generous range of tone

Pro Tom Toms

Ayotte Pro toms are available with wood or steel hoops. All Pro toms are accompanied by matching mounting hardware (strong arm tom mounting clamp or floor tom legs).

Pro Bass Drums

Ayotte Pro Bass drums are available in the following sizes and pre-assembled with Ayotte bass drum spurs. All 18" bass drums are accompanied by an Ayotte bass drum riser so to maximise the drums lower end.

Pro Colours

Ayotte's finishing process is unique, intricate and inimitable. Each drum is meticulously coated with Ayottes private blend of lacquers and pigments. Applied by master craftsmen in a complex series of steps, the final result is nothing short of artistry displayed on a sugar maple canvas.

Base Coat: Base coat layers line the inside and outside of the shell to deny moisture seepage

Colour Coats: Colour coats are carefully selected and applied in a precise manner to give way to each unique finish.

Top Coats: Top coats are applied to envelope and protect the colour coats. Each drum is then french polished by hand to give it that distinct Ayotte look.
