Velvet Drums

Ayotte Drums strive to manufacture the finest hand made drums in the world. Their commitment is to continually improve the sound and appearance of their instruments supported by their 25 year warranty.

These standards are maintained by restricting manufacturing volumes allowing for individual crafting of each instrument.

Velvet Shell

Velvet drums feature 8ply North American Sugar Maple shells for all toms and bass drums. These shells are slightly thicker than those used for the Custom Shop and Pro Range and they do not feature Sound Rings.

Velvet Snare Drums

Ayotte Velvet snares can be outfitted with either wood or steel hoops. All Pro snares are constructed from a 10ply, 14"x5.5" shell.

Velvet Tom Toms

Ayotte Velvet toms are available with wood or steel hoops. All Velvet toms are accompanied by matching mounting hardware (strong arm tom mounting clamp or floor tom legs).

Velvet Bass Drums

Ayotte Velvet Bass drums are available in the following sizes and pre-assembled with Ayotte bass drum spurs. All 18" bass drums are accompanied by an Ayotte bass drum riser so to maximise the drums lower end.

Velvet Colours

For the Velvet range Ayotte have developed a brand new colour process unique within the drum industry. The end result is a vibrant palette of colours that offer new levels in duriability. A much harder surface than conventional finishes, Velvet drums are able to resist dents and scratches, helping to keep your drums in perfect condition.  

Velvet kits are available in a choice of 16 different colour option
