Orion Burl Maple Shell

The Orion has plenty of the up-front "POW" the high-end maple is known for. It's the classic maple presence, and it's a little on the edgy side. The higher-pitched toms have excellent balance, but it really comes into play on the larger 14" drums and larger. Mapex endorses frequently comment on how these drum sizes sound deeper than other maple drums. Mapex attribute this to an exceptionally thin shell.

Price and Availability

Due to the fact that each drum is made by hand in Mapex's factory and with a massive choice of configurations and colour options available, most Orion kits take approximately 12 weeks from the date of order.

With so many different variables (shell size and colour choice) dictating the final cost of an Orion kit, a little bit more information is required in order to supply you with a price for your custom made drum kit.

* It isn't necessary to make a final colour choice until the point of order, however it may dictate the length of time your drums take to arrive.
