Paiste occupy themselves continuously and intensively with the application of modern technology and the development of technological processes. Thanks to modern digital technology, they have now achieved a breakthrough which offers a significant improvement in the transfer of Swiss principles concerning shape, structure and sound to our German production process. The results of these intensive efforts are the new Paiste Sound Technology cymbals - PST 3 and PST 5. With these series Paiste present affordable cymbals with never before realized sound quality and professional appearance. Paiste Sound Technology cymbals are the perfect starting point to enter the incomparable world of Paiste sound.

For the manufacture of PST 5 cymbals Paiste use the same high-grade bronze alloy as in the professional class, which became famous through their 2002 series. The combination of this sonorous bronze with the new production method provides drummers with new sound dimensions, and due to the rich program, with numerous possibilities to design an individual cymbal set.
