All the toms feature 2.3mm power hoops and Mapex's Isolated Tom System as standard. The Kit is available in all the most popular shell configurations and there is a choice of 10 different lacquered finishes.

The shells are made from 9-ply 7.2mm basswood and with the exception of the exterior cosmetic maple ply, this drum shell is exactly the same as the VX Shell. The basswood responds with plenty of attack and is exceptionally full-bodied. With off-the-shell I.T.S. mounts and single-point-of-contact lugs, this is an incredibly sophisticated and high performance drum set for the price.
