Pickup Cajon

The MEINL Pickup Cajons are equipped with the DST pickup microphone and the A1.2 preamp system with volume control from B-Band ®. This active system includes a specially designed preamp, high quality endpin output jack and a durable battery. The structure is light in mass adding very little weight to the instrument. The sound reproduction is amazingly pure and clear. This installed microphone system provides comfortable and easy handling in live situations. Plug in and play.

Two models are available. One with a American Ash front plate and internal snare wires, the other with a Makah Burl front plate and wire strings.

Bass Pedal Cajon

The MEINL Bass Pedal Cajon features another unique innovation, which proves once again MEINL's leading R/D status in the worldwide percussion scene. A pedal attached to the cajon adjusts the amount of pressure used to press the snare wires against the front plate, and can even be turned off completely This system allows the player to change the settings of the snare wires while playing a rhythm with both hands without an interruption. Due to its size being bigger than the standard MEINL Cajons, the instrument has more projection and bass frequencies.

Snare Cajon

To equip a cajon with fully adjustable snare wires is an original MEINL innovation and proves yet again MEINL's leading R/D status in the worldwide percussion scene. The snares touch the frontplate from the inside and deliver the classical cajon sound, which is requisite in Flamenco music. A knurled knob adjusts the amount of pressure used to press the snare wires against the frontplate. Rattling ranging between light and sensitive to very loud can be achieved through adjustment. The entire snare unit can even be turned off completely.

String Cajons

MEINL Cajons feature a built in adjustable sizzle effect. Strings which touch the frontplate on the inside and span from top to bottom, deliver a sensitive rattle that can be adjusted to fit various musical applications. Featuring a frontplate made from finest Makah-Burl, Birch or fiberglass, these cajons are a beauties in looks and sound. A built in sizzle effect ensures the authentic rattling sound with voluminous bass tones and cutting highs.

Headliner Cajons

The MEINL Headliner® Cajon delivers the classic cajon sound at an affordable price and can be used in Flamenco or world music. It is also very useful during unplugged gigs for delivering the rhythmic foundation for a whole band when a full drum set can't be used. For more sound options, the top corners of the cajon can be adjusted, allowing the player to customize the amount of snap desired.

Bongo Cajons

The MEINL Bongo Cajon is uniquely different. It delivers the sound one can expect from a traditional cajon, and with a playing surface that has high- and low pitch sound areas, traditional bongo patterns can be played on it as well. Its compact size and light weight makes it the perfect companion on the road.

Palito

The new MEINL Palito is another addition to the comprehensive variety of their cajon instruments. Strings which touch the playing surface on the inside deliver a sensitive sizzle effect that fits to various musical applications. Conga Cajon

The MEINL Conga Cajon is another milestone in the development of unique and innovative percussion instruments. It can be played traditionally in a trio configuration or individually as a normal cajon or as a hand-drum incorporated in a percussion set up. Integrated in a drum set configuration, it makes a great sonic addition for the drummer's means of expression.
