ABS Tambourines

MEINL Hand and Set Up Tambourines have a distinct design advantage due to the construction of the ABS frame. Unlike other tambourines, MEINL's utilizes several different parts in the frame which are assembled into a type of "sandwich". This results in unsurpassed durability. Available with steel, brass or aluminium jingles.

Wood Tambourines

Featuring 1 or 2 row versions. The MEINL Wood Tambourines with nickelsilver plated steel jingles produce a bright sound that projects well.

Headed Wood Tambourines

With steel jingles and finest hand selected goat heads firmly attached to the tambourine, this instrument delivers a subtle and gentle tone when played by hand and a voluminous and rich sound.

Jingle Sticks

The MEINL Jingle Sticks are a nice and affordable alternative to a tambourine. It can be used in drum circles, gatherings, street percussion and educational fields. Nice sound effects are also achieved when used as a stick on a drum.

Bill Saragosa is well known for his highly original designs. The shapes and sounds of his creations are anything but ordinary. His instruments are a welcome addition to the percussion arsenal of professional and recreational musicians alike.

The MEINL Spark Shaker is a very versatile instrument, and is unlike anything heard before. The sparkling, chirping, splashing tones readily mix with almost any musical flavour. The pod-like shape fits easily into the hand and may be manipulated for many interesting effects. Spark Shakers may be played in pairs, or in combination with other shakers for even more variations. It's as unique as the player who knows how to use it.

The MEINL Spin Spark Shaker is equipped with a screw-mounted disc that adjusts and amplifies the characteristics of the fundamental pitch. When the disc is tight, the pitch is highest; and it deepens as the disc is loosened. There is a distinctively pleasant supplemental timbre. The shaker may be manipulated in the hand for many filtering effects.

One side of the MEINL Headed Spark Shaker is a drum head! Premium goatskin and a steel shell provide a rattling combination of crisp warm tones and a bright metal timbre. Used alone or in combination with the Spark Shaker, its highly variable and "bendable" sound provides a very unique musical character.

Aluminium

MEINL's Octagonal Aluminum Shakers come in two different sizes. Both have a broad dynamic range with lots of volume. The Aluminium Jingle Shaker (designed by Juan Carlos Melian) has two pairs of steel jingles which are attached in one row to an octogonal aluminium shaker.

The MEINL Round Aluminum Shakers were designed to cut through loud live music. Available are two different versions, single or double tube for extra volume.

Studio

MEINL's Studio Shaker was designed to meet all the requirements necessary in today's session world. It delivers a very tasteful and delicate shaker sound with a warm overall tone and a very well balanced frequency spectrum.

Fiberglass

These MEINL Shakers are made from premium fiberglass for more durability and better sound quality. They are light weight and very comfortable to play.

Skin Shaker

The MEINL Skin Shaker combines two different materials, plastic tube with natural skin side caps, into one unique instrument. It produces very experimental sounds and works perfectly in modern music productions.

Wood Shakers

Made from a combination of selected woods, these MEINL Wood Shakers offer a nice array of alternative sounds. A slightly softer attack combined with a generally warmer sound. Available in 3 sizes, small medium & large.

UFO Shaker

The MEINL U.F.O. Shaker produces an extreme mellow and smooth sound with less attack. Therefore it perfectly fits in jazzy and classical arrangements and also ideal for world music.

Wah-Wah Shaker

The MEINL Wah-Wah Shaker is another unique and innovative instrument, offering yet another voice to a percussionist's range of sounds. The shaker has two chambers which are separated by a plastic membrane. The MEINL Wah-Wah Shaker offers a wide sound spectrum and is a lot of fun to play.

Loop Shaker

The MEINL Loop Shaker has a crackling bright sound with many dynamics, and is easy to control. It is very responsive to hand pressure and movement, giving it a soft or loud voice as needed. The MEINL Loop Shaker has applications in practically any musical setting.

Artist Shaker

The two versions have been designed according to master percussionist Luis Conte exact requirements. "My shaker sound is as smooth as silk" is how Luis described their sound.
