Ayotte Snares

Ayotte

From the Sultan of Brunei to the Grenadier Guards of Buckingham Palace (and a modest number of rock stars, jazz artists and "Drum Gods" in between), Ayotte owners span the globe stretching across all music genres. Ayotte Drums are built to the very highest of standards, by hand with painstaking attention to detail. The end product is a drum kit of unrivalled quality.

The two of the most important factors that dictate the overall sound of an Ayotte drum is the shell and the bearing edge, two things Ayotte have developed to perfection.

The Shells are made from veneers extracted from selected Eastern Sugar Maple and are precisely cut to specifications. These are then cross laminated to maximize structural integrity before being formed into flawless cylinders. Every Ayotte drum shell displays consistent grain patterns and immaculate seams; representing the perfect canvas for our master craftsmen to perform their magic.

Every Ayotte Bearing Edge is precisely hand cut to within three one thousandths of an inch of its predetermined specification. This unwavering constant not only simplifies the art of drum tuning, but more importantly, the distinctive bearing edge is responsible for the enigmatic and much celebrated Ayotte sound.

Ayotte Wood Hoops not only enhance the tonal quality of the drum, but they also accentuate the aesthetic appearance of the kit. They produce a warm, rich, organic sound with overtones and a sonic complexity unachievable with metal counter hoops. Each Wood Hoop is carefully hand-fabricated by cross-laminating North American Rock Maple veneers under extreme pressure.

The Ayotte Tune Lock Tension System was ingeniously engineered to prevent drums from veering off tune while concurrently enabling for head changes in an effortless manner. The assembly is indestructible and so the Tune Lock bracket is unconditionally guaranteed- for life.

Crowned the Emblem of Excellence, all Ayotte drums feature a stainless steel badge which represents the epitome of drum pre-eminence. The Ayotte badge not only legitimizes the revered authenticity of each instrument, but it also bears a distinct identity number through which the complete history of every single Ayotte drum manufactured since 1981 has been recorded. In other words, your drums will never be obsolete, and issues such as precise colour matching become non-issues.

The commonality amongst all Ayotte owners is that they belong to an elite group of music enthusiasts the demand the very best of not only themselves but also of their equipment. This trait separates them from the rest of the pack..... Ayotte help them get there.
